The Jointech SmartFence can be attached to the Clincher Fence Machine to provide the ultimate fence for shaping, joinery, and table saw tasks. Or you can simply mount our fence to your existing router table or shaper using Jointech's Mounting Brackets. For more information on the mounting brackets, look at our accessories page. Its made from 100% anodized extruded aluminum, its strong, has built-in dust collection, and its top is dovetailed to accept a variety of Jointech or custom made jigs. We call it Smart because it does more than just guide your work. Take a look at these features: DUST COLLECTION SmartFence becomes an extension of your vacuum system when a standard collection hose is attached. The collector pulls chips generated by the bit through the fence and away from the bit. Cutting the same chips over and over causes substantial premature dulling of the bit. Profile Inserts also make dust collection work better since suction is increased around the close profile fit. PROFILE INSERTS SmartFence Valox® profile inserts create a zero-clearance fit to any router bit leaving only it’s cutting edge exposed through the face of the fence. By cutting the inserts to the exact profile of the bit, cutting operations will be smoother because you will have greater control over the work. It is much harder for a bit to pull the corner of the work into a small opening. (A large opening can lend itself to a kickback). This means NO DIVE-IN and NO DIVE-OUT! SmartFence will accommodate any router bit or shaper cutter profile up to 4 inches in diameter and 2 inches high. Once an insert is cut it becomes a precise and convenient height gauge for future set-ups. FINE JOINERY By mounting SmartFence to your CLINCHER you can make just about every type of joint imaginable. Half-blind, through and sliding dovetails, box joints plus all of the exotic double-inlay joinery we invented more than 15 years ago are made easier with SmartFence.
JOINTING OPERATIONS  
Micro-Adjustable Sliding Sections.
Infeed and outfeed sections can each be independently offset outward in positive-locking incremental settings to give
the qualities of a shaper and a jointer without the high cost. Solid main fence body guarantees absolute parallelism
at all settings of independent infeed and outfeed faces. The adjustable infeed accommodates shapers with a reversible motor.If you’re cutting joinery such as a rail or stile, glue joints or tongue and groove joints, you get better results by offsetting the fences. The bit machines away any saw marks and leaves a perfect fitting joint. With a carbide bit you can joint the edge of virtually any species of wood including particle board (which would dull steel jointer knifes with a single pass). This jointing operation is also useful in eliminating saw marks from the edges of boards.
