Two types of SawTrain Extension Tables are available; STANDARD Tables (M) are made from special-ordered
commercial grade, 1-1/8” MDF Melamine. Our PREMIUM Tables (P) are made from 3/4” thick,
SOLID Phenolic (color yellow). Extension tables listed below may have a cutout for a
router plate measuring 9-1/4” x 11-3/4” and will accept any Jointech insert plate or SmartLift. For tops that
have no cut out for a reouter plate, the alpha indicator is 'B' placed at the end of the item number.
Use the Planning Guide below to help determine which size extension table and rail length combination will best
meet your needs.
This is our newest and most durable material available. Phenolic, which has rapidly become the most sought
after material for extension tables, has excellent compressive strength and incredible impact strength.
These tops can withstand heat and moisture without effecting their flatness over a period of time.
Phenolic tables are recommended for use with the SmartLift and Porter Cable Motor although not mandatory.
Currently Phenolic Extension tops are available in 27"x28" (STT-2728P), 27"x36" (STT-2736P) & 27"x48" (STT-2748P) widths for
SawTrain usage. These tops are usually ordered with the standard 9-1/4" x 11-3/4" cutout that will accommodate any
one of our 5 router plate inserts which are not included. However, they are also
available with no cut out as well.
Note: Phenolic Extension Tops include the appropriate length angle iron for mounting to SawTrain rails.
